06:24 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Panoro Minerals ( POROF ) late on Tuesday said it has obtained approval for the extended and expanded semi-detailed environmental impact assessment for the Cotabambas copper-gold-silver mine in southern Peru.
The number of permitted drilling platforms has increased by 50% to 299, the area under permit has more than doubled to 6,588 hectares, and the lifespan of the permit has been extended by six years to 2030.
It is the second time Panoro has successfully expanded the environmental impact assessment since the original one was approved in 2012.
The expansion and extension will allow Panoro to carry out both infill and step-out drilling at the North and South Pits as part of plans to advance the project toward feasibility level engineering and permitting.
A total of 19 targets have been identified at the Cotabambas project.
