Nov 10 (Reuters) - Industrial and aerospace equipment
maker Parker-Hannifin ( PH ) is in talks to buy Filtration Group
from Madison Industries in a deal valued at about $9 billion,
including debt, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing people
familiar with the matter.
A deal could be announced as soon as this week, though
no final agreement has been reached yet, the report said. The
timing remains uncertain and another potential bidder could
still emerge, it added.
Parker-Hannifin ( PH ) and Madison Industries did not immediately
respond to a Reuters request for comment.
Filtration Group, which makes filters for industrial and
automotive uses, as well as for heating and cooling systems,
employs a global workforce of more than 7,000 people worldwide.
Its parent company, Madison Industries,
said in September
that it was exploring a sale of the business.
