ParkerVision Granted Rule 54(b) Motion in Qualcomm Patent Infringement Case
Oct 6, 2025 5:58 AM

08:44 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Qualcomm ( QCOM ) could see an appeal filed by ParkerVision after ParkerVision said Monday that it had been granted a Rule 54(b) motion in its patent infringement case against the US chipmaker.

ParkerVision said the decision issued on Thursday allows it to appeal the May 29 ruling by the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando division, which resulted in the stipulated entry of summary judgment of non-infringement for its receiver patent claims.

ParkerVision said it believes the district court's most recent claim construction ruling was in error and "contradicts last year's ruling from the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that reversed the district court's previously issued - March 2022 - summary judgment order on the same receiver patents."

Qualcomm ( QCOM ) did not immediate reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
