07:58 AM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Patriot Battery Metals ( PMETF ) reported Monday the remaining core assay results for drill holes completed in 2023 at the CV5 spodumene pegmatite within the Corvette property in Quebec.

Highlights include 133.9 meters at 1.21% lithium oxide, including 41.5 meters at 1.52% lithium oxide and 42.2 meters at 1.59% lithium oxide, including 10.1 meters at 3.22% lithium oxide.

"The 2023 drilling at CV5 has more than doubled the spodumene pegmatite's strike from 2.2 km at the end of 2022, to 4.6 km at the end of 2023 and remains open," said Darren Smith, Patriot Battery Metals' ( PMETF ) vice president of exploration. "While much work has been done, in many respects it feels like we are only just beginning to unlock the potential at Corvette."

The company plans to release an updated mineral resource estimate on the project in the third quarter.

Patriot Battery Metals ( PMETF ) fell 3% to $6.62 per share on Friday.
