Peloton Interactive Shares Jump After Fiscal Q1 Beat

11:02 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Peloton Interactive ( PTON ) shares jumped more than 24% in recent Thursday trading after the fitness company's fiscal Q1 results exceeded market expectations.

The company earlier reported breakeven fiscal Q1 earnings per diluted share, compared with a loss of $0.44 per share a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.15.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $586 million, down from $595.5 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $571.7 million.

The company said it expects fiscal Q2 revenue of between $640 million and $660 million. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $665.2 million.

The company continues to expect fiscal year 2025 revenue of $2.40 billion to $2.50 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $2.48 billion.
