11:06 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Penn Entertainment ( PENN ) said Wednesday that it expects to open its new Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois on Aug. 11, six months ahead of its original timeline.

Penn Entertainment ( PENN ) said it expects to access $130 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties ( GLPI ) in Q3 for the $185 million casino project.

The company said the entertainment facility will house 1,000 slots, 43 table games, a retail ESPN BET sportsbook, and an event center. Penn Entertainment ( PENN ) also said it expects the new casino to employ about 600 workers.
