04:44 PM EDT, 06/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Water (AWK) subsidiary Pennsylvania American Water said late Friday it has agreed with the City of Pittston to buy its wastewater collection system for $26.4 million.
Pennsylvania American Water said it is already the drinking water service provider for the city.
As part of the deal, Pennsylvania American Water will make collection system upgrades, which are expected to cost more than $5.1 million over five years, it said.
The deal is expected to close by late 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, the company said.
