01:41 PM EDT, 07/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Peoples Bancorp of North Carolina ( PEBK ) said Wednesday it has appointed Bill Cable as the president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 19.

Cable will replace Lance Sellers, who is set to retire in early 2025, the company said.

Cable joined the bank in 1995 and was appointed chief operating officer in 2000, according to the company statement.
