09:06 AM EST, 01/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Perma-Fix Environmental Services ( PESI ) said Friday it received a renewed and expanded state permit for its Richland, Washington, facility that raises the allowed liquid mixed waste processing capacity to about 1.2 million gallons a year.
The company said the permit, issued by the Washington Department of Ecology, updates prior approvals and allows the Perma-Fix Northwest site to handle roughly three times more liquid mixed waste using existing systems.
Perma-Fix said the approval also permits the facility to process about 175,000 tons of waste a year through macroencapsulation, adding operating flexibility beyond the previous authorization.
