05:54 PM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Perpetua Resources ( PPTA ) said late Tuesday it started early works construction at the Stibnite gold project in Idaho.
The company said the milestone follows its posting of $139 million in construction-phase financial assurance and receiving notice from the US Forest Service that it could begin construction.
The Stibnite project hosts the only US reserve of the critical mineral antimony and is expected to produce about 450,000 ounces of gold annually in its first four years of production, according to the company.
Perpetua said it expects to create around 950 direct jobs during construction and more than 550 once the project becomes operational.
