07:41 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Pfizer ( PFE ) said Tuesday it has started the process to find a successor to Mikael Dolste who is stepping down as Chief Scientific Officer and President, Pfizer Research & Development.

Pfizer ( PFE ) said it began an external search for a new Chief Scientific Officer, with the assistance of Dolsten who will continue to hold the position until his successor is found and "any necessary transition is complete."

Pfizer ( PFE ) said the process is expected to take several months, "probably through early next year."
