Analysts polled by FactSet expected $3.33.

Total revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31, expressed as the sum of net interest income and noninterest income, was $5.57 billion, compared with $5.36 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $5.51 billion.

Shares of PNC were up 3.3% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
