06:12 AM EDT, 09/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Pony AI (PONY) said Friday it has partnered with Qatar's Mowasalat to deploy autonomous vehicles for testing on public roads in Doha, Qatar.

Under the deal, Pony AI's robotaxis will have safety operators onboard during the initial phase of testing, the company said.

The trials will focus on adapting the company's autonomous driving stack to Qatar's traffic conditions, weather, and road infrastructure, Pony AI added.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pony AI shares were up over 4% in recent Friday premarket activity.
