Popular's Q1 Net Income Drops, Revenue Rises

08:34 AM EDT, 04/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Popular (BPOP) reported Q1 net income Tuesday of $1.43 per diluted share, down from $2.22 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.88.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, was $714.6 million, up from $693.6 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $718.8 million.
