11:13 AM EDT, 05/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PPG Industries ( PPG ) said Thursday that it is investing $380 million in a new aerospace coatings and sealants manufacturing facility.

The plant will be located on a 62-acre site in Shelby, North Carolina, and construction will begin in October with projected completion in the first half of 2027, according to the company.

The facility is expected to add 110 jobs and will produce full line of PPG's aerospace coatings and sealants.

Shares of the company were up 1.6% in recent trading.
