08:30 AM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- PPG (PPG) said Thursday that it has agreed to sell its silicas products business to QEMETICA for $310 million in pre-tax proceeds.

The deal, which is set to be completed in Q4, includes PPG's precipitated silicas manufacturing facilities in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Delfzijl, The Netherlands, PPG said.

QEMETICA will also lease PPG's silica manufacturing operations in Barberton, Ohio, as well as its research and development operations at the Monroeville, Pennsylvania site, PPG said.
