- Google parent Alphabet is in advanced talks to

acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for roughly $23 billion, in a

deal that would represent the technology giant's biggest

acquisition ever.

- A man fired "multiple shots" toward the stage during

former President Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pa., on

Saturday evening, killing one spectator and critically injuring

two others, according to the Secret Service.

- Shannen Doherty, actress known for playing headstrong

characters in the 1990s television dramas "Beverly Hills, 90210"

has died at age 53 following years-long battle with cancer.

- The 20-year-old gunman who tried to assassinate former

President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania appears to

have acted alone, FBI officials said, but investigators remain

unsure of his motives and political beliefs and have not yet

been able to determine what evidence might be on his cellphone.
