- Fuji Soft said it would consider Bain Capital's
tender offer of $63.10 per share, which is 7% higher than the
private-equity firm KKR's offer.
- Starbucks ( SBUX ) is pulling back on promotions and
discounts, an early move by Brian Niccol, the new chief
executive officer, to reposition the coffee chain after a
turbulent year.
- Mulberry Group said its majority shareholder,
Challice Limited, rejected a offer from Frasers Group ( SDIPF )
to take full ownership of the British luxury brand for $94.1
million.
- Phillips 66, the Houston-based oil refiner, said
on Monday it would sell 49% stake in Coop Mineraloel to its
Swiss joint venture partner for about $1.4 billion.
