**Oil sands company Cenovus Energy ( CVE ) has struck a
deal with rival Strathcona Resources ( STHRF ) that will see the
smaller company vote its shares in favour of Cenovus' bid for
MEG Energy ( MEGEF ).
**Top European asset manager Amundi SA has joined
a coalition of institutional investors that is pushing Canadian
companies for better climate-related disclosure and tougher
targets, showing the group making strides while other global
efforts are losing members or shutting down.
**Canadian financial services company Wealthsimple said on
Monday it raised C$750 million ($534.80 million) in its latest
funding round, which increased its valuation to C$10 billion.
