04:36 PM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Profound Medical ( PROF ) said Wednesday afternoon it appointed Tom Tamberrino as its new chief commercial officer.

Abbey Goodman, the current CCO, will focus on strategic partnerships while reporting to Chief Executive Arun Menawat, the company added.

Tamberrino has a background in sales, marketing, and business development, primarily in the US healthcare sector. Before joining Profound, he was vice president of sales and marketing at NOVADAQ Technologies. Menawat, who was at NOVADAQ during Tamberrino's time there, personally recruited him for this role.

Profound shares closed unchanged at $10.55 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
