Profound Medical Says First TULSA Program Launched in Texas

08:35 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Profound Medical ( PROF ) said Tuesday the Texas Prostate and Dallas Medical Center has launched a TULSA program to meet the growing demand for surgery-free advanced prostate treatment .

Under this program , Texas Prostate will perform TULSA procedures for men with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in Dallas Medical Center's MRI suite. The procedure is performed using robotically guided, directional ultrasound to precisely ablate targeted prostate tissue.

Medicare coverage was granted last January for TULSA procedures performed in hospital outpatient, and other non-hospital inpatient settings.
