10:28 AM EDT, 05/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Prologis ( PLD ) and Performance Team - A Maersk Co. said Thursday they have launched a heavy-duty electric vehicle charging station in Southern California.

The charging depot, which is located near the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach on Denker Avenue and powered by the nation's largest EV truck microgrid, is expected to charge up to 96 EV trucks simultaneously, the companies said.

Performance Team plans to utilize its fleet of Volvo VNR Electric trucks, with a 240-mile range and capable of charging up to 80% in just 90 minutes.
