08:41 AM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rayonier Advanced Materials ( RYAM ) said Monday that there was an isolated fire at its Jesup, Georgia facility Friday during planned maintenance activity.

The company said the fire was quickly contained and that there were no injuries to employees or contractors, and no risk to the surrounding area. An investigation is ongoing.

Rayonier said two of its three production lines at the Jesup plant, which is its largest facility, will remain offline for repairs and expects them to restart the week of Oct. 28, while the third production line has resumed operations.

The company said the EBITDA impact from the fire is currently expected to be in the range of $15 million to $20 million, subject to any potential insurance recovery.
