July 16 (Reuters) - Social media platform Reddit ( RDDT )

was down for thousands of users in the U.S. on

Wednesday, according to outage tracking website

Downdetector.com.

There were more than 32,691 incidents of people reporting

issues with the platform as of 11:39 am ET, according to

Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports

from a number of sources.

Reddit ( RDDT ) said it is investigating elevated site errors.
