Rio Tinto's second-quarter iron ore output rises 13% sequentially
Jul 15, 2025 3:45 PM

(Reuters) -Rio Tinto reported a 13% sequential rise in second-quarter iron ore shipments on Wednesday, rebounding from extreme weather-related disruptions earlier this year.

The world's largest iron ore producer shipped 79.9 million metric tonnes (Mt) of the steel-making commodity from its Pilbara operations in the three months ended June 30, up from 70.7 Mt shipped in the March quarter.

That missed a Visible Alpha consensus estimate of 81.98 Mt.
