05:42 PM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Royal Gold ( RGLD ) said late Thursday its shareholders approved the acquisition of Sandstorm Gold ( SAND ) at its special meeting.

The firm said Sandstorm shareholders separately voted in favor of the deal at its meeting. It added that Horizon Copper shareholders also approved the acquisition of the company by Royal Gold ( RGLD ).

The transactions are expected to close Oct. 20, Royal Gold ( RGLD ) said.
