RTX's Pratt & Whitney Wins $2.8 Billion Contract for F135 Engines

10:41 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Pratt & Whitney business said Tuesday it has won a $2.8 billion contract to manufacture F135 engines, that power Lockheed Martin's ( LMT ) F-35 Lightning II 5th generation fighter aircraft.

The contract finances manufacturing of conventional take-off and landing, carrier variant, and short take-off and vertical landing F135 engines for the US and global clients, Pratt & Whitney added.

RTX's shares were up 1.4% in recent Tuesday trading.
