Saia LTL Shipments Decline in July, August

08:04 AM EDT, 09/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Saia ( SAIA ) said Friday that less-than-truckload, or LTL, shipments per workday dropped 1.2% in July and 2.2% in August, compared with the same periods a year earlier.

The company's LTL tonnage per workday grew 0.9% in July but declined 2.2% in August. Meanwhile, its LTL weight per shipment in July and August rose 2.1% and 0.1%, respectively.

For the quarter to date, LTL shipments fell 1.7% and tonnage decreased by 0.7%, while weight per shipment increased 1% from a year earlier.
