09:18 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- ScPharmaceuticals ( SCPH ) said Thursday it received five notices of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for patent applications covering its SCP-111 furosemide formulation.

A notice of allowance informs the applicant that the patent or trademark application has been approved and is ready for the next steps towards registration, according to the USPTO.

ScPharmaceuticals ( SCPH ) said the patents, once granted, will add to the four existing patents related to SCP-111.

The company said it plans to file a supplemental new drug application for the formulation in the current quarter.

ScPharmaceuticals ( SCPH ) shares were up 2.9% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
