08:58 AM EDT, 10/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Friday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.2% higher and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) 0.6% lower recently.

PDD Holdings' ( PDD ) shopping website Temu received a request from the European Commission for information on actions taken against the presence and reappearance of traders selling illegal products on its online marketplace. PDD Holdings ( PDD ) shares were nearly 3% lower premarket.
