01:29 PM EST, 02/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed Wednesday afternoon, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) increasing 0.4% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) down 0.3%.

Redbook US same-store sales accelerated by 6.3% from a year earlier in the week ended Feb. 15 after a 5.3% year-over-year increase in the previous week.

In corporate news, Wingstop ( WING ) shares dropped 13.6% after it reported Q4 revenue below Wall Street expectations and guided for a slowdown in same-store sales growth for 2025.
