03:29 PM EDT, 05/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed late Tuesday afternoon with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) shedding 1.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) rising 1.6%.

In corporate news, Walt Disney ( DIS ) shares added 0.8%. The company's new direct-to-consumer streaming service will be called ESPN ( DIS ) and cost $29.99 a month for the unlimited package.
