08:53 AM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were steady pre-bell Monday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) inactive and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) slightly advancing recently.

Tyson Foods ( TSN ) stock was up more than 4% after the company posted higher fiscal Q3 non-GAAP earnings and sales, and raised its fiscal 2025 sales growth outlook.
