03:25 PM EST, 11/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were higher late Wednesday afternoon, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) increasing 0.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) rising 1.2%.

In corporate news, Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) , which is exploring strategic options, including a possible sale, plans to publicly outline its decision by mid- to late December, CNBC reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. Warner Bros. shares were rising 0.5%.
