Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Lower Pre-Bell Tuesday

09:16 AM EST, 01/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were lower pre-bell Tuesday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) was 0.4% lower and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) was 0.1% lower recently.

Royal Caribbean Group (RCL) shares were up over 4% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted net income and revenue.

Kimberly-Clark ( KMB ) shares fell by over 1% after the company reported lower Q4 adjusted earnings and net sales.

Sysco ( SYY ) shares were down more than 3% even after the company reported higher fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and sales.
