Shell Q3 Adjusted Earnings Rise, Revenue Falls; Launches $3.5 Billion Share Buyback Program

04:18 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.96 per share, up from $0.93 a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter was $71.09 billion, compared with $76.35 billion a year earlier.

Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $77.99 billion.

The company launched a $3.5 billion share buyback program with a term of three months. The program is expected to be completed before the release of Shell's Q4 results on Jan. 30, 2025.

The company also said cash capital expenditure for full-year 2024 is expected to be below $22 billion.
