10:47 AM EDT, 06/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shopify's ( SHOP ) artificial intelligence-backed commerce assistant Sidekick is currently in early access for merchants on its platform as part of a series of AI updates that the company announced on Monday.

The company said it has embedded AI across its platform and recent updates also include AI-generated responses on Shopify Inbox and improvements to its AI image editor. In addition, Shopify Magic can now give merchants new product recommendations for all their product categories, the company added.

Shopify ( SHOP ) also said it has revamped its Markets solution to serve as a "central command center" to facilitate international sales, business-to-business transactions, and the use of Shopify POS for in-person sales.
