Sierra Metals Begins Trading on Lima Stock Exchange

07:41 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sierra Metals ( SMTSF ) said on Friday that its shares began trading on the Lima Stock Exchange under the BVL:SMT symbol.

The Lima Stock Exchange is a regional integration of stock exchanges that brings together the Chilean, Colombian and Peruvian markets, according to Sierra.

"We are pleased to list our common shares on the Lima Stock Exchange allowing Sierra Metals ( SMTSF ) to increase its investor exposure and liquidity potential," Sierra CEO Ernesto Balarezo said.

Sierra owns the Yauricocha mine in Peru and the Bolivar mine in Mexico.

Sierra's share price fell 1.3% yesterday to $0.79.
