06:15 AM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sigma Lithium ( SGML ) , a global lithium producer, late on Friday said it achieved its first-quarter production target, delivering 68,000 tonnes of Quintuple Zero Green Lithium.
In the week of April 7, Sigma will load 29,000 tonnes of lithium sold to metals and critical minerals trader International Resource Holdings.
On March 4, the company shipped and sold 47,000 tonnes of lithium to IRH, bringing total shipments to 76,000 tonnes.
Sigma expects to continue generating consistent cash flows and maintaining healthy margins given strong production and sales performance.
"Demand for our Quintuple Zero Green Lithium is strong and stable, and we remain confident in the fundamentals of global lithium demand, which have not changed, with conditions poised to improve going forward," said Sigma CEO and Co-Chair Ana Cabral.
Sigma's share price at last look dropped 5.6% to US$7.20 in U.S. pre-market trading on Monday.
