Signed biggest deal with Safran Group worth USD 12.5 billion: SpiceJet

SpiceJet signs the largest engines deal worth USD 12.5 billion dollars with French company Safran Group for the airline's bulk order of Boeing MAX planes.

CNBC-TV18 caught up with Ajay Singh, CMD of SpiceJet and Philippe Petitcolin, CEO of Safran Group who elaborated on the deal and more.

Singh said that Indo-French companies have signed contracts worth USD 13 billion.

He further said that the deal between Safran and SpiceJet alone is worth USD 12.5 billion.

Petitcolin said that we are happy to provide cost-effective, environment-friendly engines to SpiceJet.
