Skechers Vows to Fight Patent Lawsuit Over Hands-Free Slip-ins
Jul 29, 2025 3:02 AM

05:38 AM EDT, 07/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Skechers (SKX) said late Monday it will vigorously defend itself against a patent lawsuit filed by Kizik Design in Texas federal court, which claims the company's hands-free slip-ins line infringes on Kizik's patents.

"As owners of a vast portfolio of intellectual property, Skechers respects the rights of others," the company said, calling the allegations 'baseless'.

Kizik's complaint is based on the assertion that it created the hands-free footwear category, the company said, adding that it holds over 140 patents related to its Slip-ins technology.

Kizik did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
