05:11 PM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SkyWater Technology ( SKYT ) late Monday said it expects to close its planned acquisition of Infineon Technologies' Fab 25 in Austin, Texas, on June 30 after recently receiving all of the required regulatory approvals.

The acquisition, which is still subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to expand SkyWater's ( SKYT ) capabilities in foundational semiconductor manufacturing and strengthen its strategic position in North America, the company said.

Financial terms of the transaction were not provided.

The companies first announced the deal in February, and said it will significantly increase SkyWater's ( SKYT ) available capacity for foundational chips used in multiple industrial, automotive and military applications. The deal also includes a long-term supply agreement with Infineon.
