Smithfield Foods Files for IPO

07:08 AM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Smithfield Foods (SFD) on Monday filed for an initial public offering to be listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol 'SFD.'

According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission filing, both the company and SFDS UK Holdings, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of parent company WH Group, are proposing to offer shares.

The company said the underwriters have reserved up to 2% of the shares offered at the initial public offering price.

The food and meat producer said it generated $14.2 billion in revenue in the 12 months ended Sept. 29.
