11:22 AM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Snowflake (SNOW) and French artificial intelligence solutions provider Mistral AI have signed a multi-year partnership to launch the latter's language models to Snowflake clients in the data cloud, the companies said Tuesday.

Through the collaboration, Snowflake customers will have access to Mistral AI's Mistral Large language model, which is available in five languages, the companies said.

Snowflake clients will also have access to Mistral AI's Mixtral 8x7B open source model and Mistral 7B foundation model, according to the companies.

As part of the partnership, Mistral AI's models are now accessible for clients in public review on Snowflake's Cortex large language model and vector search service.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.
