09:22 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of Canada cut its policy rate by 25bps to 2.50% on Wednesday, noted Societe Generale.

The rate reduction was widely expected, but it doesn't alter the fact that with a weakening economy, the Canadian dollar (CAD or loonie) looks "vulnerable," wrote the bank in a note to clients.
