10:46 AM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SolarBank ( SUUN ) said Tuesday it plans to develop a 13.8 megawatt DC ground-mount community solar power project in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

The company said it has obtained a lease over the proposed project site and is working on securing permits, interconnection approval, and funding for the project. Development hinges on the approval of a bill proposing to enable community solar projects in the state, the company added.

The planned project, which is part of a three-project plan with a total of 24.8 megawatts DC, would allow residents to get solar energy without the need to install their own panels, SolarBank ( SUUN ) said.
