04:20 AM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Solarbank ( SUUN ) said Monday that its plans to develop the 7 MW DC ground-mount Stauffer solar power project in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

This is in addition to the 13.8 MW DC project unveiled by the company last week, both of which are part of a set of projects expected to total 24.8 MW DC.

The company said it has secured a lease over the project site and is working to complete the next steps in permitting, interconnection and securing financing for construction of the project.

The proposed community solar project is expected to provide residents with access to solar energy without installing panels on their own properties, the company said.
