Jun 11, 2024 5:43 AM

08:24 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Solaris Resources ( SLSR ) said Tuesday that it is expanding its 2024 drilling program at the Warintza copper project in Ecuador to 60 kilometers from 30 kilometers.

The company said the expanded drill campaign is supported by the closing of its recent financing and significant productivity improvements from past infrastructure investments, as well as improved logistics and processes at the site.

"We are very pleased to have doubled the planned drilling for the Warintza project which will contribute to future growth and improved confidence in resources while also providing technical data for mine design and mine planning purposes to support technical studies," COO Javier Toro said.

Latest results from the company's 2024 drilling program at Warintza include 81 meters of 0.73% copper equivalent within 544 meters of 0.50% copper equivalent.

The company expects to complete an updated resource estimate in early July.
