DUBLIN, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Some aircraft lessors are
looking at self-insurance to escape from major inflation in
insurance rates that has followed the war in Ukraine and recent
accidents, the executive chairman of Air Lease Corp ( AL ) said
on Monday.
"I expect that all rates will go up. Liability rates will
go up. And some lessors are looking at self insurance, where you
set aside a certain fund for unexpected events," Steven
Udvar-Hazy told the Airline Economics conference.
Air Lease ( AL ) is one of the five largest global aircraft
lessors.
