11:52 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Source Rock Royalties ( SRRRF ) at last look Monday rose 3.4% as it entered into a joint acquisition agreement with a private company for oil sands, petroleum and natural gas leases in Alberta.
Under the agreement, the parties will jointly lease Crown mineral rights to farm out the right to develop the leases in exchange for a royalty interest.
The leasing joint venture aims to acquire mineral rights prospective for various heavy oil horizons within the Mannville Stack. All leases will be held 50% by Source Rock.
Under the leasing JV, the parties have leased 11 sections, or 7,040 acres, of Crown mineral rights in Alberta.
The leasing JV also aims to establish an undeveloped land base that provides exposure to near-term drilling potential in areas already being developed; as well as longer-term upside optionality through low-cost, early-stage entry into less-developed areas.
Source Rock shares were last seen up $0.03 to $0.90 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
